About Miller Legal Partners PLLC

Miller Legal Partners PLLC was formed over six years ago by Sam Miller, founder and managing member. Mr. Miller practiced at a large national firm where he was an equity partner and grew a practice in which he represented clients from individuals to Fortune 500 companies in high-stakes, intellectual property and commercial litigation.

Recognizing a need for his clients to have lawyer quality of a large firm without the conflicting representation and built-in rate pressure of a large overhead firm, Mr. Miller started Miller Legal Partners PLLC to focus on providing creative, tenacious, and solution-based representation to a select group of existing and new clients. Initially, the firm focused solely on intellectual property matters including a false advertising case for one of the largest building products suppliers in the United States; a defending a patent and trade dress infringement case brought by a major pet food company against a competing international conglomerate; and defending several copyright cases against an international media services provider. Throughout the course of those cases and similar cases, Miller Legal Partners PLLC spent several weeks in full-evidentiary preliminary injunction hearings and trial in which our lawyers proved their creativity and tenacity in the courtroom.

Based on their courtroom experience (including before all of the Federal Courts in Tennessee, the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals, the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals, the Federal Circuit Court of Appeals, and other state and federal courts throughout the United States), the attorneys of Miller Legal Partners PLLC have been asked by clients to undertake cases beyond intellectual property. Our attorneys have represented clients in cases involving business disputes; fraud; defamation; media; right of publicity; malpractice; and personal injury. Although intellectual property remains a focus of the firm, the firm is centered on providing premier quality litigation wherever and whenever a client has a need.
